Federal Signal has expanded its IP intelligent systems products to enable SIP (Session Initiation Protocol). By enabling SIP in Federal Signal IP products, we can now offer customers easy to install solutions building on a SIP platform that many businesses have in place. The Servers include up to 16 hours of remote support assisting the customer with commissioning of the system. We offer a basic 24 button SIP telephone with optional keypad expansion, as well as a 54 key SIP capable video phone. Lastly we are introducing a SIP video intercom station. These products allow for LIVE PA VOIP communication directly to each device or in a group. The video intercom stations are ideal for emergency rally locations within the Industrial plant and adjoining office locations. These SIP products when paired with our current offering of IP speakers create a simple plant-wide notification system that can be deployed quickly and with very low installation costs.

How It Works

The SIP phones dial the IP product directly or the IP group extension. The IP products auto answer and enter PA function mode. The IP products will then listen for the DTMF commands to control programmed functions to initiate the selected WAV file or to initiate Live PA.
